Karla’s Review
4 Stars! Way more than a book about BDSM!

So much to love about this book and Gavin, Ben, Cole and Myah are at the top the list! Four very likeable, relatable characters that each brought something very special to the read. Gavin, so sweet, wants to please everyone, he's lost and unsure how to proceed with his personal and professional life. Ben, he exudes authority, sure and confident, yet not cocky, comfortable in his skin and wants his skin touching Ben's! Myah, a good cop and friend, she's everything I love in a strong female character. Cole...BEST. BROTHER. EVER!!

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book was that it didn't just focus on the BDSM lifestyle. Yes, it was informative, but Gavin and Ben were so much more than how they like to play in the bedroom and their sexual proclivities. I'm pretty sure Myah has some secrets too, and I'm hoping that as the series continues the author delves into her life a little more. And of course Cole, loved what we read about him, but what is it that drives him, makes him so sensitive and protective? Essentially this is about Gavin and Ben, but there has to be more where the other characters are concerned...right? While there is somewhat of a satisfying ending, the author baits the reader, and I for one enjoyed the worm on the hook and am going back for more.

The suspense portion of the book was rather gruesome, didn't bother me in the least, and I never expected the intensity of this aspect in the read, especially at the end! Took a while to resolve, but I was okay with it. I enjoyed Power Exchange very much, had a hard time putting it down, and found it for the most part to be a well rounded read. I'm looking forward to reading Safeword.
