Valentine’s Day Embellished Wood Hearts and Arrows!

This week I decided to make a Valentine’s Day project – inspired by my recent projects using my just-now-in-stores Home Made “Cottage Living” line of papers and embellishments for home decor from Pebbles in my Pocket and the cool wood supplies from The Wood Connection!

My new papers aren’t available online yet, but you can see in the photo I chose the pink with gold polka-dots. I love using this paper because I can actually get a shiny gold — something I can’t get from a home printer! (You can find the new line in stores.)

I combined the layered heart door hang with the arrow with overlay – both inexpensive kits from The Wood Connection!

Here’s how easy it was to make:

For the top arrow and the top heart, I spray-painted them gold – and sprinkled gold glitter over the top before they could dry.

I spray-painted the larger arrow and the largest heart an off-white color and the medium heart pink.

Once the paint had dried, I distressed the edges of the larger arrow and the largest heart. Then I traced the medium-sized heart onto the back of my polka-dot paper, cut it out, and used spray adhesive to stick it on the front.

I used hot glue to stick them all together, and added ribbons … and voila! All done!

Thanks to Amy Dott and The Wood Connection for their help.

Have a great day!
