{Mermaid Party} DIY Mermaids Welcome sign

As you know from Monday's post, I got some gorgeous Mermaids Under The Sea Giant Wall Decals from Birthday Express. Well, one of the stickers read "Mermaids welcome" so I knew I had to use it to create a cute sign to welcome our guests.

I used a piece of wood I already had and painted it white. When it was dried I distressed the edges and corners with sand paper.
Applying the sticker was super easy, even on my own, and not only did it stay stuck on the board for over two weeks, it came off without damaging the paint after the party !! So definitely a bonus if you are thinking of using it on your walls...

I used the two sea star stickers from the wall decal assortment and added some glittered sea shells (from Michael's) to embellish. I also had a few shell necklaces from a previous trip (!) which I hanged on the sign too.

There you go! It was easy and quick to make and it looked beautiful when finished.
