2014 – The Retrospective

Just a few hours until a new year is about to start. Time for a journey through my 2014. Time for a recap. Please scroll down for German ;-)

January: In the beginning of the year I finally purchased my beloved Valentino Rockstud Bag – see it as a belated Christmas present to myself. In the middle of the month I made a big step and moved in my first very own flat. I never regretted it – finally space for all my clothes and shoes.

February: In February were lots of big shooting – like Lacoste and Adidas. Furthermore I quickly flew to Hamburg for a day to meet lovely Caroline Blomst and her shoes collection for Deichmann.

March: For the first time had the courage to go out with bare legs (actually it was still to cold) and had the pleasure to review the newest collections of our Swiss design talents at the Mode Suisse. For the event I wore my recently bought and much loved Maje dress. Oh, and I started with the designing process of the new The Fashion Fraction in march as well.

April: Finally warmer temperatures, colorful blossoms and even more naked legs. Furthermore I made 3 girls lucky with an invitation to the NRJ Fashion Night. At the La Perla Store Opening in Zurich I fell deeply in love with a sexy corsage.

May: May served a special happening as my own jewelry collection in collaboration with Maggie Fine Jewelry was finally available to order. Ich was/am so proud and happy!

June: After dozens of events and store opening in April/May, June luckily was a little calmer – means a lot of summery outfit posts for you guys. But the month would be too boring with only that, so Etihad Airways threw an amazing Event in the most luxurious hotel of Switzerland. The Dolder Grand. Live concert from Ronan Keating inclusive.

July: July not only surprised me but also served a new beginning for me and the blog. I flew to Berlin for the Zalando Blogger Awards and guess what – I even won. My first award ever and my boyfriend was even with me and for once took over the photographer part. In the middle of July the “New The Fashion Fraction” finally went online and a three-part photo series in collaboration with Hermès was the perfect start.

August: I turned 23 in paradise at the 19th August. Paradise because I was in holidays for one week. Algarve, I miss you. Furthermore I had to hold my promise to publish more post in the categories of beauty and lifestyle and therefor shared my first healthy recipe as well as my skincare routine. In the end of the month I flew to Berlin for another time and spend a magical weekend in a castle with other blogger girls and the lovely Zalando crew.

September: Urban Decay comes to Switzerland. Good news. I took advice and tested the products and LOVE them. Also autumn is around the corner so I was wearing a scarf for the first time and cheered myself up with a post talking about the positive things in autumn. Oh, and then one day I had a photo shooting for Diesel.

October: In the beginning of October I flew to Amsterdam with the editors-in-chief of the biggest Swiss magazines for a preview on the SS15 collection of Diesel and Diesel Black Gold. One week later, the new Miss Switzerland is about to be chosen and I’m there as a guest of the sponsor SodaStream. I didn’t hat a dress, but I’m creative. ;-) My outfit in which I belted my scarf to a poncho was probably the most loved one! Thanks for all the lovely feedback! Furthermore I tried the Goldwell Kerasilk Treatment and my hair was so glad about it and 3 months later I’m still 110% satisfied. After all the projects I felt like I urgently need a time out and therefor holed up for 3 days in the Design- and Wellnesshotel Bergland in Sölden (Austria). Apropos, in october I also discovered my love for GIFs – and you loved it as much as I do.

November: November was all about fashion. The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zurich were taking place again. I shared all my outfits, my runway impressions and also enabled a lucky girl to be part at the Opening Night. I also published one of the most read posts summarizing 12 things that make you feel sexy. Not to forget that I made a dream come true in November and bought a classic Chanel bag.

December: Pre-Christmas time means lots of hints just like a gift guide for girls or gadgets that definitely ease your Christmas feast. After Christmas it quickly got golden and sparkling – New Year’s Eve ist just around the corner. Do you already have your outfit ready?

Nur noch eine paar wenige Stunde verbleiben bevor ein neues Jahr beginnt. Zeit für eine Reise durch mein 2014. Zeit für eine Zusammenfassung.

Januar: Anfang des Jahres habe ich mir endlich meine geliebte Valentino Rockstud Tasche zugelegt – als verspätetes Weihnachtsgeschenk an mich selbst sozusagen. Mitte Januar habe ich einen grossen Schritt gewagt und bin aus meinem Elternhaus in meine erste eigene Wohnung gezogen! Die Entscheidung habe ich bisher nie bereut – endlich Platz für all die Kleider und Schuhe.

Februar: Im Februar standen einige grosse Shooting an – unter anderem für Lacoste und Adidas. Zudem ging es nach Hamburg, um die liebe Caroline Blomst und ihre Schuhlinie für Deichmann kennenzulernen.

März: Ich traute mich zum ersten Mal mit bluten Beinen raus (obwohl es eigentlich echt noch zu dafür kalt war) und erfreute mich an der Mode Suisse, die zweimal im Jahr stattfindet, über die neusten Entwürfe der Schweizer Design Talente. Dazu trug ich mein kurz zuvor gekauftes – heissgeliebtes – Maje Kleid. Übrigens habe ich im März mit der Ausarbeitung des Design des “neuen The Fashion Fraction” begonnen.

April: Endlich wärmere Temperaturen, ersten Blüten an den Sträuchern und noch mehr nackte Beine! Zudem durfte ich 3 Mädels mit einem Eintritt zur NRJ Fashion Night beglücken. Am La Perla Store Opening habe ich mich in eine sündhaft teuere Korsage verliebt.

Mai: Im März kam es zu einem ganz besonderes Ereignis für mich – meine eigene Schmuckkollektion in Zusammenarbeit mit Maggie Fine Jewelry kam raus. Ich war/bin unheimlich stolz und glücklich!

Juni: Nach den ganzen Events und Store Openings im April/Mai war der Juni ziemlich ruhig. Also gabe es eine Menge sommerliche Outfitposts für euch. Aber der Monat wäre langweilig, wenn nicht noch was Besonderes passieren würde. Also lud Etihad Airways zu einem grossartigen Event im luxuriösesten Hotel der Schweiz. Dem Dolder Grand. Live-Konzert von Ronan Keating inklusive. Hach!

Juli: Der Juli hielt eine grosse Überraschung sowie einen grossen Neubeginn für mich und den Blog bereit. Es ging nämlich zur Verleihung des Zalando Blogger Awards nach Berlin. Wer hätte das gedacht – ich habe gewonnen! Meine erste Auszeichnung und mein Freund durfte sogar mit und übernahm den Part als Fotofragen. Mitte Juli schaltete dann endlich das “neue The Fashion Fraction” online – eine dreiteilige Fotoserie in Zusammenarbeit mit Hermès markierte den neuen Meilenstein.

August: Am 19. August durfte ich meinen 23. Geburtstag im Paradies feiern. Für eine Woche gings nämlich auf in (noch) wärmere Gefielde. Die Algarven. Ausserdem hielt ich mich an das Versprechen, vermehrt auch Beauty- und Lifestyleposts zu kreiren und teilte mein erstes, gesundes Rezept sowie den ersten Beautyartikel mit euch. Ende Monat flog ich dann schon wieder auf Berlin und verbrachte ein wundervolles Wochenende in einem wahren Märchenschloss mit anderen Bloggermädels und der Zalando Crew.

September: Urban Decay kommt endlich in die Schweiz – so die frohe Botschaft. Ich habe mich am exklusiven Event beraten lassen und die Produkte getestet and I LOVE it. Ausserdem kommt der Herbst bereits näher, ich trage zum ersten Mal wieder einen Schal und muntere mich damit auf, die positiven Seiten des Herbstes aufzuzählen. Oh, und zum Fotoshooting für Diesel bin ich auch mal noch kurz angetrabt.

Oktober: Anfang Monat geht’s mit Chefredakteurinnen der grössten Schweizer Magazine nach Amsterdam zum Preview der SS15 Kollektion von Diesel und Diesel Black Gold. Eine Woche darauf wird die neue Miss Schweiz gewählt und ich bin als Gast des Sponsors SodaStream mit dabei. Ein Kleid hatte ich nicht, aber improvisieren kann ich ;-) Mein Outfit, dass den Schal in einen Poncho verwandelt wurde zum vermutlich beliebtesten des Jahres! Danke für all die lieben Feedbacks! Ausserdem habe ich meinen Haare ein Goldwell Kerasilk Treatment gegönnt – und auch 3 Monate später bin noch immer 110% zufrieden damit! Nach den vielen Projekten habe ich mir eine Auszeit verdient und verkroch erst einmal mich für 3 Tage ins Design- und Wellnessshotel Bergland im Österreichischen Sölden. Im Oktober habe ich übrigens meine Liebe für GIFs entdeckt, und ihr wart genau so begeistert!

November: Im November dreht sich alles um die Mode. Die Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zurich standen nämlich an. Ich teile meine Looks, meine Eindrücke der gezeigten Kollektionen und ermöglichte einer glücklichen Gewinnerin, an der Opening Night dabei zu sein. Ausserdem publizierte ich einen weiteren Post, der zu den meistgelesenen zählt: 12 Dinge, die dich selbst sexy fühlen lassen. Nicht zu vergessen, dass ich mir im November einen grossen Traum erfüllt habe und mir eine klassische Chanel Tasche gekauft habe.

Dezember: In der Vorweihnachtszeit teilte ich einige Tipps für euch, zum einen Geschenke für Mädels aber auch Gadgets, die jedes Weihnachtsfest erleichtern. Und nach Weihnachten wurde es schon ganz schnell goldig und funkelnd – Silvester steht an. Habt ihr euer Outfit schon?
