This year I’m participating in my version of Ali Edwards’s December Daily project. Like last year, I started before December so I could document Thanksgiving too. I’m keeping it simple with a vintage book album base, one 4 inch wide photo per page, and just a few embellishments on each page. Here’s last week, November 30-December 5:
Because it’ll be awhile yet before the Christmas tree gets going over here, I thought it would be fun to document the kids getting to help with Jake’s parents’ tree for November 30. I had fun using the tree chipboard shape as part of the title for this one.
December 1, I documented my participation in the Harry Potter Group Re-Read Along. I’m reading the first book in French. I thought I’d have Eliza help me, but I figured out a great way to read on my own (more on that later).
December 2 was all about the glittered pinecones Jonas and I made. I’m still cleaning up that glitter. I used a gold foil card and a gold foil label to add even more shine to the page.
December 3 was Eliza’s holiday concert at school. They sang Le père noël arrive ce soir.
My favorite photo from December 4 was a photo of me knitting with Jonas and Charcoal all snuggled up with me, which I used for my #Thursday3 photo last week. I document the emotional struggles I’ve been having lately and how thankful I am for my family’s support. These snuggles help mountain loads.
December 5, Jake and I went to see my brother-in-law Corbin’s band, Kill the Lights. I am so freaking impressed with them and can’t wait until they finish their demo album! Also, moshing was nice, even if it was with only four other people. I need to make an effort to go to more shows.
