Alpro #deskfest – Plank it, Bake it, Move it, Quake it!

La la laaahhh! Yup….still got the Spice Girls stuck in my head! How are you all doing? I hope you haven’t turned into a snow person….man this weather!! I’ve just returned home after braving the snowy blizzard to run a few errands and now find myself snuggled with Leo and laptop in the spare room

In true deskfest style, my morning started off with summa this! I was so excited to finally get my hands on some alpro pouring yoghurt, after hearing Christina mention it’s delicious-ness about 14234567 times on her blog It did not disappoint. In true alpro style, it is delicious, flavourful and soooo creamy.

I kept it simple and poured the yoghurt into a glass of fresh berries. Perfect!

After Leo’s morning feed, I then tried the Plank video from the

Two Minute Movers series. I loved this! A perfect little ab blast to set me up for the day I am going to try to incorporate this particular sequence into my daily routine – anything that’ll help to strengthen my abs post-pregnancy is a winner in my book!

Nice lycra Mr M!!

As I am currently breastfeeding, it pays to keep a few healthy snacks at hand to keep my blood sugar levels balanced. To produce breast milk, the body extracts sugar from the blood and causes one’s blood sugar level to fall. This is great for diabetics, whose condition may improve when they breast feed, however, the rest of us need to avoid crashes by keeping things topped up. Today, I reached for a Quaker muesli bar – it was the perfect partner for my cup of breakfast tea. It was really good! The reason I loved this bar so much was that the flavour of the oats was dominant, with just the right amount of sweetness from the raisins. Like a flapjack but not as dense. Two thumbs up from me!

I love trying new things!

Love to all

xoxo
