Welcome to theStyleSafari Part II !

I’m back!

After 2 long years of filling my OOTD void on instagram only, I have decided to return to blogging. For those of you who followed me way back when, you might recall that I quit somewhat abruptly, with mixed emotions. The opportunity to return to blogging arose some time ago, but it took me almost a year to gather up the courage to come back. A lot has changed in my life since 2012.

Looking back on theStyleSafari of 2012, I see someone who was trying hard to fit in with existing trends and forcing her ‘style’ too much. She was shopping constantly, always worried about more content, without thinking about the authenticity or practicality of the content. While I acknowledge that style is a constant evolution, I wasn’t quite sure what was my voice was.

After a few years of personal and professional growth, I feel more confident about who I am and what I want out of this blog. 2015 will bring all sorts of new adventures, travels and even a wedding (!) and I want a place to document it all. I want to share my experiences with all of you and I hope dearly that you share back with me. With the second launch of theStyleSafari, I have promised to myself that I would be honest in my writing, outfits, and point of view, and only post when I feel like I have something honest to say. Over the next year I hope to share my outfits, travels, fitness tips, wedding planning, and my inevitable struggle to create a warm and inviting home while balancing the demands of life.
