Christmas Shopping in Downtown Woodstock

Returning to the suburbs of Atlanta, where I grew up and Jack and I met, has definitely been a surreal experience for us, but it has also been a lot of fun to see our hometown with fresh eyes. In the coming days we hope to continue to share more of our favorite finds, but today we are popping in to Downtown Woodstock, one of Atlanta Metro’s best revitalized Main Streets. Just a few years ago, developers seized the opportunity to reinvest in this gorgeous town and bring bring Woodstock back to it’s former glory and, boy, did they ever do a great job! With free consultations to help new businesses, training for entrepreneurs, and a “Help Georgia Grow” program, Downtown Woodstock has become the perfect place to eat, shop, and even live within walking/biking distance!

We are so proud to have such a great place to call home and thought some of you might enjoy a little nudge to pop over if you are in the area to do some last minute holiday shopping, though a visit at any time of year would be pretty awesome!

If you are not sure where to start, begin with a Huevos Rancheros for brunch at Pure Taqueria, one of the locals most highly recommended restaurants.

With a full belly, head to the shops! We love Branches Boutique, with it’s cool industrial bohemian vibe and southern charm.

The Be You On Purpose shop is really fun, too, because the owners are super passionate about giving back to the community and give a portion of all proceeds to help those in need, both close to home, and far away.

Dress Up Boutique is another shop you have to pop in to. They have all kinds of great displays and everything a modern girl can hope for!

If you are starting to get tired, grab a seat and a coffee at Copper Coin, a super hip and modern coffee shop that offers hot and cold drinks plus light treats.

Then, as if the day cannot get any better, stroll through the residential neighborhood connected to Downtown Woodstock. These homes are pure bliss (and if you are looking for a new home, there are a few properties still left to purchase!) I would happily take any of them, though the last little gem is pretty spectacular!

I hope you enjoyed the visit to somewhere so near and dear to us! We will be heading back to Copenhagen in about a week, so it really means a lot to us to be able to share this piece of our home with you!
