Thankful November - Day 2

Chasing Happy is hosting The Thankful Project, dishing out planned prompts to display gratitude all the way through Thanksgiving. I find it difficult to pass up celebrating a clump of days on the calendar reserved for gratitude, appreciation, and the slowed pace of recognizing the beauty and blessing before me.

That said, hello day two. {a role you play}

These dashing, blonde mini-humans call me "mom." That role, by far, has been the most interesting, entertaining, adventurous, and humbling. From diaper changes and late night feedings to chats about puberty and random dancing, it is never boring. Considering future-shaping is involved in this role, the pressure is on to not screw it up, yet the hilariousness that accompanies this role helps.
I'm thankful to be able to

• see their personalities blossom
• • their character evolve
  • their humor mature
  • their brother/sister relationship strengthen
  • their faith deepen
  • their hearts on display
  • their manners applied
  • them learn, overcome, not give up
• encourage them, build them up, help them, teach them
• listen to their stories, their laughs, and their logic
• watch them play, sing, dance, and do their chores

It is an honor I do not take for granted, being their mom. I love them.
