Been a bit absent lately! (Violette's Creative Juice)

I am so sorry for being absent from my blog for so long. I have been kind of depressed and have had difficulty getting back into the swing of things. Life is quite busy at my age and i have difficulty focusing on too many things at once. Life is different when you have grandkids and elderly parents and your hopes and dreams shift and change with each new age.

Overwhelm is a common theme for me as i’m sure it is for so many of you. With social media, blogging, and real life it’s difficult to find time for everything! I have also taken up the Ukulele as some of you know. One thing i have been keeping up is Suzi Blu’s Paint and Chronicles which is like a daily planner/gratitude journal/art journal all rolled into one. I know that there are many planner classes out there but this one seems to suit me just fine.

The above image was created yesterday at our Art Journal Jam. It reminded me of back in the day when i was about 20 years old and i had taken up Fashion Illustration. I really enjoyed it. During my teens I spent many happy hours drawing and coming up with different fashion designs.

Here are a couple of pages from my planner – the prompt was “Shine”. I like the fact that it doesn’t have to be perfect at all.

Queen of the Bees……….she sprung up while i was waiting for Mr. G at his work. I started drawing a face inspired from a woman’s face in a magazine. She morphed into the Queen of the Bees

Here’s a small piece of a heartfelt page – i was pouring my heart out – but first i drew my mood in the middle.
