Canopy.co Review

Have you ever seen something awesome on Pinterest, clicked the link hoping to buy it and then been horribly disappointed when the link was broken or the item was sold out? Do you love Amazon, but have trouble wading through the millions of products (and cluttered interface) to find the “good stuff”. Well Canopy.co might be the solution.

Canopy is a new site that has a Pinterest-like setup, but everything links to Amazon. And I’m kind of in love with it. The interface is clean and almost everything on there is either interesting, beautiful or both.

It’s still invite only (like Pinterest was in the early days) and they’ve still got some kinks to work out. For example, the interface was a little slow for me on my iPad and I kept getting signed out. Also, when you first sign up, you have to upload a photo (even if you’re on your boyfriend’s iPad and do not have a great photo to upload), but those are all minor annoyances.

The biggest annoyance was that it was not clear how to add your own items from Amazon.com. Maybe others will find this intuitive, but I did not immediately think to use the search bar to add products from Amazon to my collections. A separate button or a hint when you sign up would have been helpful to me.

I think this site is a brilliant idea and I can’t wait to use it more. Now excuse me while I spend the rest of my night adding to my Canopy collections.

Check out my collections here!

P.S. I actually got my real name as my username! That never happens!
