19-year-old Lubbock Woman Missing, Family Asking For Help

LUBBOCK, TX – Lubbock Police Department and family are searching for 19-year-old Chynna Stapleton and her boyfriend Marcos Villegas, who were last seen on January 21, 2015.
Family said Stapleton and Villegas left for a friends house last week and never returned home. Chynna's father, Raymond Stapleton, said Chynna always calls them when she travels and she was looking forward to starting school to acquire her high school diploma.
"She doesn't have a cell phone and the one tablet she has, she left at the house, so it wasn't like she planned on being gone for very long,” Raymond Stapleton said, “and when you go for over a week and you haven't you know then a parent gets worried."
Lubbock Police Department said this is one of the three local missing persons investigation that is active. Lieutenant Mendoza said in cases when the child is over the age of 18, they are considered an adult and the police department investigates the situation before declaring it a missing person's case.
“We continue until the person is found,” Lt. Mendoza said, “or unless information is developed and the person doesn't want to be found."
