The Maxi Shirt Trend

When my friend Chris visited from Florida, I made sure she shopped her butt off and that definitely included a trip to my fave plus size stores around Dubai. Both of us spotted this sheer maxi top on one of the blown up posters in the Yours store but unfortunately, it wasn’t in stock yet.

About a week later, I saw it in person at the Yours SS’15 press preview and let the Yours team know how much I loved it because I really wanted them to inform me when it would be in store. A few days later, it showed up at my door step… #bloggerperks. They definitely made my day!

I’m totally feeling the maxi shirt trend right now, and I think this top was a nice incentive for me to shake off my winter comfort zone and get my chubby arms out again! I embraced my sleeveless game, and then winter came, and now I’m all shy about going sleeveless again but hey, just like every body image hurdle, I just have to keep pushing myself to be bolder.

It helps that I felt super edgy and chic in this top I love wearing it with my new boyfriend jeans.
