“If you are in a hurry, stop here”, says the window lettering of this peculiar place I stumbled upon while having a stroll in the old town “Vegueta” in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It seems that in the Antico Caffé you can not only have a drink standing on the street, but taste a real italian espresso. And If you have a sweet teeth don’t miss the apple pie or the Neaopolitan horn, they are irresistible delight for the palate.

If I only think that in 1492 Cristobal Colón was walking this streets. Did he has a coffee at the same place?

“Si tienes prisa, para aquí”, dice el rótulo de este peculiar lugar que encontré mientras paseaba por Vegueta {el casco histórico de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria}. Parece que en Antico Caffé, no solo puedes tomar algo de pie, sino probar un auténtico espresso italiano hecho con amor. Y si no tienes tanta prisa y quieres endulzar tu paladar, prueba la tarta de manzana o la Napolitana. Son autenticas delicias.

Y solo de pensar que en 1492 por esta calle paseaba Cristobal Colón, me pregunto ¿habrá tomado un cafe en la misma esquina?
