Fabric Shopping: Tutuban Mall

If you hate the busy and narrow street of Ylaya, then these stores outside Tutuban Mall will probably leave you feeling satisfied. These three stores are just almost next to each other so enjoy!

RUBENI TEXTILES

The good news is that they are currently having a clearance sale until the end of December! We went here for Silk Lavender Skin Essentials‘ curtain fabric which we scored for P80/yard.

I love these colorful linen fabrics for P80/yard. They are perfect as light weight curtains.

The purple one (second from the bottom) was the fabric we used for Skin Essentials’ curtain trims. Pretty color, right?”)

They also have printed cotton for P30/yard. I wish I had cash that day so I could hoard more fabrics!

CENTRO

If you are looking for brightly colored printed fabrics, Centro is the best store to go to.

These pretty fabrics can be used for curtains and upholstery. They range from P280-380/yard.

Michelle’s Ribbon and Lace Center

Michelle’s Ribbon and Lace Center is your one-stop store for accessories and other sewing notions.

I have been looking for elastic ribbons/laces so could DIY my daughter’s headbands. Those that can be purchased in malls are ridiculously expansive and I know I could do one in under 5 minutes. Like I have said, I didn’t have enough cash with me so I wasn’t able to buy anything. But I now I know where to look, I will definitely be back for some serious hoarding! Haha!

They also have ready-made bias tape in satin (P20/pc and P200/box) and cotton piping in wide variety of colors (P16/pc and P155/box).

Feast your eyes on these sparkly trims and floral patches. My head was spinning from continuous surges of DIY ideas! Haha! Taking photos inside the store is actually not allowed but I was able to take a few shots before the security guard informed me that it is prohibited. SHHH!

Some people were asking me where to buy tulle in Divisoria. Well, I now have the answer. Here in Michelle’s! Apparently, they have two kinds: the ordinary (P30/yard) and soft tulle (P60/yard).

Next time, I will explore the fabric stores inside the Tutuban Mall.
