Meredith + Joshua’s Spellbinding Harry Potter Wedding

Harry Potter fans Meredith and Joshua enchanted the over 100 guests who attended their magical Los Angeles wedding, transforming Lawry’s Prime Rib in Beverley Hills into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. California-based photographer Candice Benjamin perfectly captured the magic of J.K Rowling’s best-selling books for the couple who wanted a lighthearted, yet non-cheesy, event.

“After losing my grandmother two weeks before the wedding, and my uncle six months prior, we really wanted our friends and family to make the wedding the most loving and lighthearted of events,” Meredith said.

With their Hogwarts Express programs in hand the couple’s guests were in for a truly magical ceremony. As Severus Snape officiated, guests were blown away by the couple’s Goblet of Fire which exploded when the bride and groom each put their names into it signifying they were no longer separate, but one. After the ceremony, a jar of Bertie Botts every flavor beans and a basket of wands awaited guests to raise and celebrate the couple as they entered their reception.

“Our vision was that it would be a wedding that could take place within the Harry Potter universe, which we think added to the classic look, helping us stay clear of the cheesy factor,” Meredith said.
