Morning Coffee at the Museun

It’s not what it looks like.

I’m not actually having a coffee inside the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design in Riga as it wouldn’t be museum-appropriate (that cape resting on the chair isn’t good either I’m afraid – please, don’t attempt to repeat it). Here I’m pictured with the cup of Alyona Bauska, the designer behind QooQoo, who’s preparing to be documented for the upcoming Whimsical Agnesiga year planner 2015.

As I’ve mentioned before, the 4th edition of The Planner is themed This Weird Place Latvia and will cover a range of quirky things found (only) in Latvia, including a splendid design collaboration exploring patterns from the 1930s and giving them a modern twist.

It is now official that The Planner 2015 will be published on December 4th (The Planner Vol. 4 on the 4th day of December, yay!) Mark your calendars.

However, while The Planner is still in production, I have something else (brand new and unexpected) for you in the pipeline. Watch this space / sign up for the newsletter and be first to get the hot news.

P.S. Meanwhile do marvel at the office & home of the menswear designer Ernest Alexander and look out for The Planner Vol.2 in mint that I spied on his coffee table.

Protams, ka tā nav mana kafija, jo Dekoratīvās mākslas un dizaina muzejā tai nav vietas (baidos, ka arī muzeja ekspozīcijas krēsla atzveltne nav īstā vieta manam apmetnim – lūdzu, nekādā gadījumā to neatkārtojiet). Bildē iemēģinu vietu, kur pēc brīža ar šo pašu kafijas krūzi nostāsies modes dizainere Aļona Bauska, QooQoo, lai tiktu iemūžināta The Plānotājam 2015.

Kā esmu minējusi jau agrāk, šis – jau ceturtais pēc kārtas – Whimsical Agnesiga plānotājs būs veltīts tēmai “This Weird Place Latvia” jeb “Šī dīvainā vieta Latvija”. Tajā apskatīsim dažādas īpatnējas lietas, kas raksturīgas (tikai) Latvijai un mums, tās iedzīvotājiem, tostarp vēstīšu par unikālu dizaina sadarbību, kuras ietvaros teju simt gadus veci šķīvji pārtapa jaunā formātā.

Uzmanību! Oficiāli paziņoju, ka The Plānotājs 2015 tiks atklāts 4. decembrī (ceturtais plānotājs ceturtajā decembra dienā, yei!). Piefiksējiet kalendāros.
