Real-Time Drone Light Painting

I am obsessed with light painting, if that wasn’t obvious after my flailing over Darren Pearson’s incredible talent earlier this year.

Well, with the advent of new technology comes amazing new interpretations of some old classics like light painting. In this case, real-time light painting with DRONES. Yes, drones.

I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of my brain exploding.

This crazy project falls somewhere in between classic light painting and a cool art installation, and I think not being able to classify it may actually be the best part.

I feel like this is just the tip of the iceberg and I’m really hoping this is a medium that people will start playing around with, because the possibilities really are endless.

Now where can I get 30 drones to make this happen?
