A STUNNING OAK KITCHEN IN A COPENHAGEN HOME

A kitchen made of wood has been on my wish list for a long time. But when renovating our home a few years ago we chose to have white kitchen cabinets as we already had a wooden floor (and we did not want to have ‘wood on wood’). Although we are happy with our kitchen, seeing these stunning oak kitchen cabinets designed by Gardehvalsoe make me slightly wonder if we made the right choice. The darker colored wood of the cabinets works wonderfully well with the lighter foor. The beautiful Copenhagen home belongs to world renowned chef René Redzepi, who wanted a long kitchen cabinet along the window, and a kitchen island with room for preparation and storage. The kitchen cabinet along the window is in one piece, a total of 5.6 meters and drawers of 70 cm in width. Dinesen’s long floorboards gives a unique look in the drawer fronts from start to finish, as the fronts horizontally have been created out of one plank, so you get a continuous flow of grain patterns. The browned brass sink complements Dinesen HeartOak really well, giving an exclusive look.
