#FPLetsMove: New Orleans Studio Takeover!
Free People stepped inside New Orleans-based yoga studio, Reyn, to offer a day of wellness, healthy eats and good vibes!
I’ve had the opportunity take part in many Free People events, but the #FPLetsMove studio takeover we hosted last week in New Orleans might just take the cake. The decor, the partnerships, the people involved—it couldn’t have gone more right. If it weren’t for Reyn Studios, none of it could have been possible. As the winner of our Pitch Your Studio contest, Reyn played host to a 3-day transformation of the already gorgeous Magazine Street space. Reyn and Jenn, the studio’s “head gals”, welcomed us with open arms and made the takeover a seamless one. There to help in any way possible, these ladies are the reason Reyn studios is so loved amongst the people in New Orleans.
We started working our magic the day we touched down in NOLA – with help from Beth (from our display team), Catie (Marketing Project Assistant) and Sarah (PR Assistant). The studio’s high-vaulted ceilings served as the perfect base for many strands of twinkle lights, and the draping of capiz shell curtains and bamboo-constructed lotus flowers. This task was not easy, but the end result proved the challenge was worthwhile! On the day of the event, people began lining up early, ready to be checked in by one of the very helpful Reyn Studio Assistants. The three classes held that day were all donation-based, with all proceeds – over $500! – benefitting RSOM, a program that Reyn and several of her partners founded within the New Orleans community. They work to create meaningful relationships within the community by instilling the principles of wellness and empowerment through yoga.
The day would not have been a success without the help of local salad start-up, City Greens, as well as Nola Flora. City Greens provided the delicious food, and Nola Flora supplied gorgeous bouquets of flowers that were placed around the studio. It was a long but very, very rewarding day, and many thanks go out to everyone who helped make our #FPLetsMove event a success!!
