The Cosmetic Department Tricked Me Into Buying Shoes

Is there really anything better than shoe shopping?

Like, c’mon. THERE’S NOTHING BETTER THAN SHOE SHOPPING.

Okay, maybe red velvet cake & pinot noir….but besides that, shoe shopping pretty much takes the cake. (Pun intended.) And if there’s one place that really gets me fired up for shoe shopping, it’s ALWAYS Nordstrom.

It always begins so innocently. You swing into Nordstrom for cosmetics…..AND JUST COSMETICS. And that’s how they get you! You know those Nordstrom store planners thought they were so smart & sneaky when they placed cosmetics DIRECTLY across the main aisle from shoes. NORDSTROM, I KNOW YOUR SECRET TO GETTING ME SHOP…..& quite frankly, I am 100% okay with it.

My closet, on the other hand, is a little frustrated. Currently, she is somewhat resembling me eating on Thanksgiving while wearing Spanx: too much coming in and not enough places for storage.

But hey, I would never want to walk through Nordstrom and for the shoe department to feel neglected. It’s my civic duty as a woman, shoe lover, and compulsive shopper to stimulate the economy….and stimulate myself (in the non-dirty way!) by adding to my shoe collection.

So there, Nordstrom. You got me. Not the first time, and certainly won’t be the last.

*Thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post & encouraging me to clean out my closet so I can fill it with more fabulous fall shoes!
