An alpha hero's attraction to the one woman he can't have could draw him into a killer's snare in the sizzling new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster

Charismatic bar owner Rowdy Yates isn't the kind of man women say no to. So when he approaches waitress Avery Mullins, he fully expects to get her number. However, the elusive beauty has her reasons for keeping her distance&;including a past that might come back to haunt them both.

Avery spends her nights working for tips&and trying to forget the secret Rowdy is determined to unearth. But when history threatens to repeat itself, Avery grows to rely on Rowdy's protective presence. As the sparks between them ignite, she will be forced to choose between the security she's finally found& and the passion she's always wanted.

I have started this opening paragraph at least 100 times. No matter how many times I re-word it I can't seem to capture the love I had for this book and the characters contained in this story. So I decided to start this review by being honest...This book was so amazing I can hardly find the worlds to use to describe how much I loved it. Some books have a unique way of crawling under your skin, and taking you over to the point where the world around you just doesn’t seem to matter. I lost myself in the love affair an adventure of Rowdy and Avery. I am sad to say the adventure is over but I would love to relive the story. I rarely ever reread books but I would love to sit back down and escape back into Getting Rowdy all over again.
Alright enough gushing let's kick this review off. Getting Rowdy is the third book in the Love Undercover series and my favorite by leaps and bounds. Did I say I would stop gushing? I lied. Rowdy is the bad boy of the three heroes and in all the other books in this series his character always stood out to me capturing my attention. Rowdy’s story was highly anticipated for me so the bar was high and Lori did not disappoint. I have a thing for tortured men and Rowdy is a tortured soul wrapped in a bad boy persona. Deep down inside Rowdy’s hot male body a caring heart of gold is hiding, and oh to be the girl who tares that shirt off to find it! Rowdy is content in his sorrows and drowning his feelings in beautiful woman or so he thinks.
Enter Avery!!! It is very uncommon that the heroine makes the story for me but Avery did just that. The secrets unfolding about Avery kept me plowing into this book. I had to know more about her and the more I learned the more I began to care about her. I had to have more of her just like I had to have more of Rowdy. I do notice a common denominator for Lori Foster books tend to be a broken woman but something about the way Avery’s story is told made it a less important fact for me. Did I mention I loved this story?
Now the other books in this series had to be read in order so that you as the reader know what is going on. With Getting Rowdy Lori does a great job touching up on anything you may have missed in the first two books without taking away from Rowdy's story. The only thing you will miss is the storyline from a few characters that make an appearance in this book. I am book OCD so I can't read out of order but if you wanted to bypass the first two books you wouldn't be lost.
I strongly recommend this hot hunk Rowdy, I mean this amazing story to readers and lovers of romantic suspense.
