Weekend Organization Inspiration: Small Hallway Storage Projects That Make a Big Difference (Apartment Therapy Main)

Hallways are awkward spots in our homes, both overlooked and undervalued —they're weird in-between places that we pass through multiple times daily, but we don't actually spend a lot of time there. What they don't have to be is a waste of space; with a little time and effort they can be storage powerhouses.

Who says you can’t have built ins in the hallway? These simple unfinished ones (lead image above) from Hajattamolla fit perfectly in the space and seriously amp up the storage.

Happy Interior Blog shared this hallway from 91 magazine. They used IKEA Trones, which have a very low profile, for extra storage.

A narrow picture ledge was hung in this blue hallway from Callwey. It adds a place to keep little things, without making the space feel claustrophobic.

Daniel's former hallway got some slim, wall-mounted, stylish storage in the form of a fauxdenza.

Pastel hanging shelves were used to stage this Scandinavian home for sale, seen on Alvhem Makleri.

A bike shelf, like this one from Curtis Micklish, lets you bring your bike indoors, but doesn't eat up precious space.

This works even in a narrow hallway (as seen on Hus & Hem) because the shelf is above head height and doesn't diminish circulation space.

This hallway from Delikatessen took advantage of the empty space at the end by adding extra seating and hanging cabinets above.
