Weekly Review // 8

Happy weekend! I haven't done a weekly review in a while, so I thought I'd share what I've been up to lately. Here's what has been happening behind the scenes with the blog, work, and life.

Work

I've been working on a couple of websites for family members for the past little while, so that has taken up a bunch of my time. My mom started a new tea cup rental business I've been putting together her website and hunting for tea cups on the weekends.

I also recently signed a manufacturing contract so Wonder Forest art will be sold on a variety of items including bedding, curtains, and other products and textiles. Pretty excited for this because it was one of my goals this year to have my work manufactured on various products. I'll be sure to let you know when you can check out some of the stuff!

The summer line of cases launched over in my Casetify collection and was inspired by a lot of design ideas you guys gave me on my Instagram page.

Finally, I've been converting more of the Blogger templates in the shop to Wordpress themes. I want to bulk up that section of the store and offer some unique Wordpress only themes as well, so that is something I've been making a priority.

Life

I've had the urge recently to get out and travel. I want to experience more of the world and get over my fear of flying. I decided that to do that, I should try to do a quick flight somewhere, like two/three hours away. I've been trying to scope out Eastern Canada spots and think I have almost settled on Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. I want to go somewhere with awesome scenery and take lots of beautiful photos, so if you have any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them!

At home, I've hired a landscape designer to come and design my backyard. I decided that some things should just be left to professionals, and knowing nothing about types of plants and what should go where, I thought it best to stop attempting it myself. I'm really excited to see what she comes up with!

Anxiety

I've recently realized that when I am doing things alone, I really don't have much anxiety at all anymore, however if I'm with someone else, the panic starts to set in. I can be totally fine taking a hike through the beach by myself, but if someone else comes along (or even the idea of having to go somewhere with somebody else) I start to immediately feel anxious inside. I think it's because when I am by myself, I have complete control over situations and what happens, whereas if I'm with somebody else or other people, I'm not as "in control"... if that makes sense. Just a new realization and something that I am going to work on.

Besides that, things have been good. I found a YouTube channel that I've enjoyed by Noah Elkrief. I stumbled upon it one day and really like how he puts things into perspective and uses analogies to help you understand better. The concepts he talks about are all things that I've read in books, but he somehow makes it easier to understand. Perhaps it can help some of you with anxiety, depression, happiness, relationships, and all of that good stuff.

I think that's about it from me! Be sure to follow along on Instagram to see more behind the scenes snaps of my life, and let me know what you've been up to! What have you accomplished lately?

xo, Dana
