My Little Princess: Cinderella

Lil’ J and I have taken to dress-up and make-believe time to collaborate on a new project. I didn’t realize it, but she’s managed to collect nearly all of the Disney princess dresses over the last few years of her life. Some she’ll soon outgrow and we’ll have to decide if we buy anew, or if she grows out of them all together (oh goodness, I hope not yet!).

A few days ago she asked me to take some pictures of her while she pretended to be Cinderella. She wore her “glass slippers” and pretended one was falling off. She did it again and again until I took the picture the way she wanted.

Then she ran over to her swing and pretended she was riding in a carriage. Her joy is electrifying. We talked about different ideas for each princess dress she has, and so far we have taken photos of two. I decided to take one of my favorite quotes from the princess and add it to one of the photos. For Cinderella I used a quote from the new movie since that’s who she was pretending to be.

In a new series that doesn’t yet have a name, I present to you, my little princess! … Hey, that’s it (for now)!
