Sherri Shepherd Stays Positive, No Matter How Tough Life Gets

After separating from her husband Lamar Sally almost a year ago and battling it out in court over their surrogate baby, life is settling back down for Sherri Shepherd, hopefully!

The judge ordered last week that Sherri be recognized as the legal mother of the baby, born last year. Sherri had been fighting, hoping to not be responsible for the child, considering the circumstances.

She chatted with Entertainment Tonight about her rough time. “Under the circumstances I’m doing really, really extremely well. I don’t care what I go through, nothing gets me down. You know me. I will smile my way through anything. I believe smiling and laughter is the best medicine.”

While Sherri hasn’t spoke in specifics about her side of the situation, she shares that staying positive is how she gets through and that she believes it’ll be okay in the end. “Life is difficult. So you just hang tough and you keep going. People who know me, my character, my integrity — I feel it speaks for itself. I feel like everything always works out in the end. I’m a big believer that everything always works out in the end. Everybody has their challenges. So right now, it’s my challenge.”
