Lisa Brown/Sami Lee | Definitely Lovely

February Favourites

I always seem to forget how quickly February rolls by as it's just a short month, and what a lovely month it was. I was hoping that the arrival of March would mean the possibility of some Spring like weather...but considering it has been snowing here in Scotland for the last couple of days this is not looking hopeful. Snow aside, here are the products that I just could not stop using throughout February.

There has been quite the buzz around these 'in shower' moisturisers and I hadn't really properly given them a chance until I tried Ro's Argan Body Conditioner from Lush. This stuff is wonderful, I love anything rose scented and to me this smells like rose scented playdoh...which is a good thing. You basically just pop this on as your last step in the bath or shower and rinse it off, then you pat yourself dry and can then completely skip moisturising as your skin is left so soft and smelling delicious.

Recently my usually oily skin has been feeling a little dry, especially after removing my make-up so I picked up the Nivea Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash on a whim in the hope that it would help matters. Not only did this help, but I have continued to use this even though the dryness has passed. I tend to use this as my morning cleanser now and the only way I can describe it is to imagine a moisturiser that cleanses your skin, its a rich creamy formula this just seems to disappear when you rinse it off, no foaming, no oil and no residue.

I just can't seem to shake off berry lips at the moment even though we are practically knocking on Spring's door. It has been the & Other Stories Montagnac Berry that has pretty much not left my lips all of February. The formula is moisturising and long lasting and the colour really just seems to suit any look.

My love for The Body Shop has been mentioned many a time here, and my love grew a little more when the Smoky Poppy collection came along. The Smoky Poppy Shower Gel has not left my shower since it arrived on my doorstep. The scent is extremely clean and grown up, such a contrast to any other shower gel I own, and as with all shower gels from The Body Shop the formula is creamy and moisturising.

Can we all just take a second to take in how beautiful this Dior Golden Shock Gold Leaf Effect Top Coat is! My boyfriends Mum got me this whilst she was away on holiday and I cannot explain how beautiful and eye catching this looks on the nails, I should really have taken a picture...lesson learned. I have teamed this with both a dark navy blue and a taupe and both looked great, my favourite was definitely the navy and gold combined.

When I received the Ojon Revitalising Mist I was a little sceptical as it isn't really aimed at anything but refreshing your hair between washes. Wow, I underestimated this. You shake up the solution and it turns into a milky water that once spirtzed over tired/dry looking locks transforms them. Don't get me wrong this doesn't perform miracles but it really does make a big difference to the appearance and condition of my hair between washes. It smells GORGEOUS as well so sweet and clean, definitely give this a go if your not a fan of washing your hair every day.

Contouring isn't usually something that is part of my everyday make-up routine but I cannot seem to stop reaching for Benefit Hula Bronzer at the moment. It's the perfect matte cheekbone creator that just always seems to work and blend seamlessly even though I am on the pale side.

Hand cream is one beauty product that holds a special place in my heart as it is one of the very first things I can remember using, I used to use some of my Great Grans little nivea one all the time. Recently I have been loving the Jurlique Rose Hand Cream, we have already established my love of all things rose scented. This is a rich, velvety smooth cream that blends in so nicely and leaves your hands smelling like roses all day, I love the simple packaging too.

Monthly favourites would not be complete here on Beauty Aesthetic without a little mention of tea. This Clipper Blackcurrant & Blueberry Organic Infusion has been my tea of choice every single night, it's so sweet and fruity and warming. I add a little teeny squeeze of honey into mines if I'm wanting an even sweeter cuppa.

That is everything I have been loving recently, let me know what your favourite products are at the moment and they may even end up becoming a favourite of mines too!
