Witch Anti-Blemish Redness Relief Moisturiser

Over the years I've found that drugstore skincare has gotten a bit of a bad reputation. Most of the things I used as a teen I wouldn't dream of using now that I've become a little more clued up on what works for me. However, every now and again I do find a budget product that deserves a little more recognition and that product is the Witch Anti-Blemish Redness Relief Moisturiser.

This moisturiser is pretty special. I'm someone who does suffer with blemishes but one of my main concerns is redness so it sounded like the perfect product for someone like me. The formula comes out as a green tinted moisturiser, which if I'm honest feels much more like a gimmick than actually being helpful. Once you blend it into the skin, it's virtually undetectable and I find the redness hasn't really been toned down.

Now that may begin to sound like the moisturiser isn't very good but what it's best at is soothing the skin. It has an almost sort of cooling effect and if you've ever suffered from red, sore skin.. you'll know how important that is. Once the moisturiser has been blended in, it dries almost instantly which I feel makes it the perfect pre-foundation moisturiser. There's no waiting around for it to sink in and my foundation pretty much glides on without any effort at all.

As for the anti-blemish side of things, I don't believe it has strong enough ingredients to really make a difference alone. However, my skin hasn't suffered any new breakouts or aggravated existing ones from using this so that is always a bonus.

While I do think it is important to invest in your skin, more expensive doesn't always mean better.
