There is a new fragrance to the L'Occitane La Collection de Grasse line, Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc. Launching April 15th, 2015 at L’OCCITANE boutiques nationwide and online at usa.loccitane.com.

Background: The true story of L’OCCITANE’s La Collection de Grasse continues, uniting two ingredients – one from a small, French Provençal town, and one from another distant land. The result is an unexpected reunion of precious, floral twins: Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc.

The Fragrance: A proprietary blend of blue iris floral water extract from Grasse, cultivated in the region for over 15 years, matched with white iris extract from the Mediterranean, allies the velvety notes of blue iris with the transparent notes of its white counterpart.

• Top notes of blackcurrant & citrus
• Heart notes of iris, ylang-ylang & peach
• Base notes of iris, cedar & white musk
The Packaging: L’OCCITANE founder Olivier Baussan has also designed a special bottle to mirror the union of the two irises: A limited edition, hot-stamped, gold embellishment resembling a bouquet that is reflected from the back of the bottle to the front.
• Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Eau de toilette ($78) – 75ml: a contrasting flower-to-flower encounter. This fragrance opens fruity notes of blackcurrant and citrus before luxuriating in the intensity of blue iris. Subtle tones of ylang-ylang float to the surface, and a trail of a white musk delights in the hot/cold contrast of the twin flowers, giving the last word to powdery accords of iris and the dry scent of cedar.

Additional products launching alongside the new fragrance include: • Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Shower Gel ($20) – 250ml: this silky shower gel gently cleanses the skin, leaving it delicately fragranced with an unexpected, velvety scent. When in contact with water, the silky fluid gel transforms into an ultra-rich lather.

• Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc Body Milk ($25) – 250ml: this body milk moisturizes the skin, leaving it wonderfully soft and velvety, and fragranced.
