NYC Metro Girl Soap Chips & Roll-on Perfume - Review

(press sample)

Months ago I received a little care package from NYC Metro Girl (my favorite handmade bath/body brand, see my previous post here), containing a little jar of soap chips in the scent Midnight Dream, described as a "blend of lime, french lavender, lily and patchouli", and a little roll-on perfume in the scent Very Sexy Girl, described as a "blend of rose and violet with nuances of grapefruit and musk".

The soap chips are so cute and the scent is beautiful, it is definitely a ME kind of scent - I love most patchouli blends. Her handmade soaps are a favorite of mine, they are very soft and gentle on the skin, never leaving residue, and the pretty fragrances last well after using the soaps. The soap chips are very new to her line, and I LOVE the idea of changing out your soap scent more often. I, for one, will get tired of a soap scent less than halfway through a bar. The soap chips can be purchased as a 4 oz jar (photographed here), a 12 oz bag of chips, and a soap chips kit with a larger variety.

The roll-on perfume is divine! I really like the compact, travel-friendly style, and the roller ball style makes it easy to apply anytime, or as a touch up throughout the day. The scent is feminine and frisky, it has that touch of sexy, which is fitting for the name. I think it is the musk that really draws me in. I must also note that I have not had any skin reactions to this perfume, usually with other roller scents, my skin will reject it. It's good to know NYC Metro Girl doesn't aggravate my sensitive skin.
