Week In Pictures #4
All is finally revealed as after a 4 hour journey from London we reached the secret location of my Valentine’s surprise. Himself kept this secret hideout close to his chest until the last turn and we drove up the long driveway through the rolling hills and deep in the valley to our country cottage getaway. How much more romantic can you get right! Chocolate’s and flowers pffft! Not for him!
The first dusk where the sun set on a tired couple who were raring to go for the next day to come (Valentine’s Day!)
The cottage was not the only surprise that himself had up his sleeve.
On Valentine’s day after waking up to a hilarious card and cup of coffee on the bedside we headed out for a quick snack as we had an appointment to get to. Something else that I was yet to find out.
After a painful ½ hour waiting for two sandwiches to be made (½ hour right! Toto we are not in London anymore!) we headed off into the wilderness yet again and found ourselves at a stables where an exhilarating 2 hour hack across Exmoor National Park was booked.
Not many of you know but horse riding is one of my dear passions apart from blogging of course and this was the best present that anyone could ever have given me.
After a knackering couple of hours out on the moors we retired to our beautiful cottage and snuggled up to watch more Blacklist.
What a Valentine’s Day – I couldn’t have planned a better getaway myself and I will remember this one FOREVER. Himself did good – real good!
Of course there are more pictures and stories to tell but for now I am heading back to the sofa for more snuggles and Blacklist with the man himself.
