June Finish

Another 'A Lovely Year of Finishes' finish :) My JUNE GOAL post was #2 at FIBER OF ALL SORTS Goal Setting party. I settled on the heart design, made eight and then had it suggested to me that I put the rows in the opposite direction on some of the hearts... so, more cutting and sewing. That left me with five extra heart blocks, three for the back and two for pillows :) The back won't get seen much, but it saved me from having to purchase more backing fabric and turned out just as nicely as the top, bonus :)

This 'over the back of the sofa' quilt idea started with a small Tapestry purchased on a recent trip to Venice. I wanted a heart design because the Cruise that took us to Venice was a celebration of our having met 40 years ago. All in all, I'm more than pleased and because the top came together so nicely, I just chugged along and finished the project.
