The Weekend Dish: 8/29/2015

Happy last-weekend-of-August!

I hope yours is off to a fantastic start! I’m pretty excited about our Sunday dinner tomorrow – we’re going a little rogue and having a taco bar! It’s been ages since I’ve had tacos and I already can’t wait to dig in.

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I’ve bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Salted Chocolate Caramel Tart – This was an enormous hit – chocolate shortbread crust salted caramel chocolate ganache.

The BEST Italian Meatballs – My father-in-law’s amazing meatball recipe!

Mixed Berry Ginger Crumb Cake – A fantastic crumb cake full of ginger flavor and topped with sweetened blackberries, blueberries and raspberries.

Savory Salami, Cheese & Herb Waffles – Fantastic savory waffles that would be perfect with fried chicken or pizza sauce on the side for dunking.

Friday Things – Crawling, Seinfeld, wedding cakes, screen doors, and more…

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Butterscotch Popsicles (Taste and Tell)
Such a classic flavor, and a perfect end-of-summer treat.

Peach Chipotle Chicken Tacos (Heather Christo)
We’re having tacos for dinner on Sunday, so now I’m craving every version imaginable… these sound fantastic.

Peanut Butter Brownie Ripple Ice Cream (Bakerella)
I LOVE rippled ice cream and if you know me, you know you can’t go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate.

Pretzel Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie (Minimalist Baker)
Speaking of peanut butter and chocolate… the addition of pretzels makes this pretty much the most perfect dessert for me.

Reese’s Dark Chocolate Cake (The Novice Chef)
The fact that this is a one-layer cake is absolutely awesome… easy and still totally impressive!

Have a delicious weekend!
