Monica Vinader: The perfect Mother's Day gift

Monica Vinader is a luxury British brand that's had my attention for quite some time now - which is pretty impressive considering that (a) my attention span is about the same as a gold fish and (b) I'm somewhat of an accessory-phone. I've seen so many of her pieces on the likes of blogger babes Sandra Hagelstam and Amelia Liana, and after teasing myself on the website for so long I finally decided to pick up one of the Fiji chain bracelets in rose gold.

Of course, being a luxury brand these babies aren't going to come cheap, which is exactly why I've decided to stay away from my standard 'haul' style blog post, and instead focus more on giving, rather than receiving (although I won't deny the latter is good too). With my Mum's birthday and Mother's Day just around the corner, I've started racking my brains for gift ideas, when in reality one was under my nose, and on my wrist, this whole time.

Now I know how my Mum likes to read my blog every so often, so Ma, if you think you've sussed out what you're getting from this post then you're way off - I'm not going to give the game away that easy! But for all of you out there that are struggling like I am, I thought I'd plant a few ideas in your head as to what you can do/buy for Mothering Sunday.

Personally, I often find it quite difficult to put my feelings onto paper without cringing at myself, but I want nothing more than to tell my Mum how grateful I am for everything she's done for me during the past 22 years (I was an absolute nightmare teenager - trust me on that one), which is exactly why I thought these bracelets were such a good gift idea. When buying Monica Vinader pieces you're able to have some items engraved with images or text to show that person - even if it is yourself - how you really feel. It be something as simple as some initials, or a message to say how much you love someone or just a few words to remind you of the important things in life.

Needless to say - judging by the length of this post anyway - I'm not exactly skilled when it comes to jotting down my thoughts into just a few words, which is why i chose to engrave 'keep it simple' onto my Fiji - just as a reminder to do just that. When it comes down to it, I think the best thing you can do for your Mother (or anyone, really) is to lend your time to them, and to enjoy the simple things in life. If that happens to be a Monica Vinader bracelet, then so be it..
