Time to do Nothing

My abs still hurt from laughing this weekend.

… You know those nights?

They’re so good.

I love ‘em — although from a productivity standpoint, they’re probably better when spaced out in smaller doses. (This week has been rough! Anyone else?)

For me, the easiest way to ease back into a work week is to start by taking virtually all guess-work out of getting dressed in the morning. One less decision to dwell over, you know?

I’ve been consolidating my closet a lot over the past few months, and with that, wearing my favorite pieces more regularly. It’s actually made my wardrobe much more “lovable,” as I know exactly what’s in my closet — all of my favorite pieces.

I love this pink shell top with skirts, especially — whether it’s with an effortless maxi, like so, or sleek black pencil skirt.

(And while we’re at it, I wore this dress on two separate occasions this weekend.)

Perhaps it’s the warmer weather and a strong desire to spend more time offline/outdoors, but there’s a bit of writer’s block that’s crept in on this end over the past few weeks.

In particular, there is one post that I’ve been having a very hard time writing.

Instead of pointlessly pondering it (trying to beat a brick wall into a door, as they say), I decided to shut down my computer and let loose over the weekend. Hence, my sore abs. (Which you know if you follow me on Snapchat. That Ja Rule throwback, though; right?)

Often, taking the time to do nothing is usually what brings everything into perspective.

And, oh — about that post I’m talking about. I’ll share it with you next week… Probably a week from today/next Thursday.
