... really. Forgive my frivolity. As Trip's deployment draws nearer, I find that Fight the Februaries with Fashion is the only thing holding back the epic sense of dread that I'm sure is just waiting to snowball me in the face around the next corner. In any case, I've completely given my mind over to whimsy and fantasy and all things happy. I got dressed up for a safari because I was supposed to go to Rainforest Cafe for dinosaur chicken nuggets as another winter escape, but Chicagoland found itself suddenly blanketed by a sparkly (wet, nasty, scary) blizzard, so instead of venturing out into the tundra, I took these snappy photos, took a steaming hot shower (because seriously, what better way to imitate the rainforest in your own home than creating a personal sauna?), and watched King Kong (the original... from 1933).
It was just a simulation, but it kept me warm and happy and that's all that matters!
