A few weeks ago I caught up with NZ design blogger Julia Atkinson of
Studio Home, following the recent launch of her exciting new collaboration series, TEAM.WORK. As the inspiring curator and voice behind one of the first design based blogs launching down under in 2008, I was excited to learn more about how she has now taken Studio Home's involvement with New Zealand and Australian creative businesses to new heights.
Together with young Auckland designers Mike Grobelny and Nikolai Sorenson of
Trestle Union, they set about producing something new and different to their existing range of clean, modern trestle tables (which as you know I'm a big fan of). The result? A gorgeous collection of
pot plant stands available in three heights and three colourways. One look at them and I was sold! With a simple, minimalist design that is both stylish and functional, I jumped at the chance to style one of these babies in my own home. Fitting seamlessly into every corner, I was impressed with the versatility of my small white stand which can hold pots of varying shapes and sizes.
In addition to glossy black and white powder coating, the plant stands are available in a clear coat option which brings out the raw industrial finish of the metal wire. They can be bought separately or as a set of three direct from the
Trestle Union online store with free shipping within New Zealand and a flat $35 dollar rate to Australia.
Beautiful Plants and Styling by Eden Hessell of The Botanist and photography by Evie Mackay Bravo to Julia for kicking off TEAM.WORK with a bang. I'm already looking forward to the next collaboration!
