I'd like to shortly reply to yet another comment I received calling me a hypocrite.
Fact #1: I have shopped at Forever 21 in the past, and have owned a few items of clothing from there. Perhaps if you actually read my blog posts in their entirety instead of picking and choosing a few sentences and mashing them together to make up your own story, you'll see that I have embraced my new lifestyle rather recently and have not claimed to be this way throughout the entire duration of my blog. Also, fun fact, I haven't purchased anything from Forever 21 in nearly a year, and simply setting foot in the store makes me nauseous. Oh, and I ignore the emails they send me asking to post videos and flyers and things on my blog because I DON'T SUPPORT THEM. Funny how that works, huh?

Fact #2: Comparing eating a Mcdonalds hamburger out of a trashcan to me wearing vintage leather is probably the silliest thing I've ever heard. I will gladly keep on purchasing beautiful used leather boots instead of new faux leather boots from the garment district in downtown LA for $10, crafted by a young child in Mexico. People, seriously, think critically. Think past your initial gut response of "WTF YOU STUPID LIAR" and try to ACTUALLY process all of the information and see that there is a WHOLE SPECTRUM of things to consider and it isn't just about "right or wrong". Yes, wearing real leather is still a bummer when you love animals as much as I do, but because the world is the way it is, you make do and do the best that you can... and I think the best I can do is to buy vintage or used items. If that is hard for some of you to swallow, then for the love of god, get off my blog. These concepts really aren't that challenging to understand. There is not just one kind of vegan person. As you may or may not know, everyone is different, and handles things in their own unique way.
