You Go Glen Coco #3

Hello! It's Friday again! This week has gone by really quickly for me and it's actually been quite a productive one too hurrah! I hope you've all had a great week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend! Are you heading to LFW or doing what I'm doing and having a good chill/clean/Netflix binge? Whoever said that isn't glamorous anyways? So as it's Friday, it's time to do my weekly round up post, I won't lie when I say that I haven't really watched that much YouTube, or read that many blogs this week. I've actually been quite focused for once, and have been trying to keep my self concentrated on work rather than procrastinating. So I'm not too sure how this post is going to turn out, but we will roll with it and nevertheless here is some things I have been enjoying this week.

My first You Go Glen Coco, goes to Zoe Sugg aka Zoella. Who this week, appeared on Comic Relief's version of The Great British Bake Off. This is one of the most popular shows here in the UK, and for a YouTuber to be asked to go on it, is a massive achievement for the internet world. Big YouTubers such as Zoe get quite a hard time from the media, and well even from fellow bloggers and YouTubers. I think this is quite unfair, because we all know how hard it is, to make videos and blog, and a lot of the time these vloggers have been making videos for years and years, it's not all happened over night. I think the main thing to focus on, is that people on the internet are starting to be recognised. Outlets like YouTube and blogs are now becoming traditional media alongside newspapers and magazines. YouTubers are becoming role models for young people, and no matter what you think about YouTube culture these days, we need to remember that these vloggers are a lot better role models than other celebrities who have sex tapes appear and wear next to nothing. Of course there is nothing wrong with that, but if I had a child, I don't think I'd mind them looking up to a YouTuber. I've always liked Zoe's blog/videos and she is really sweet. I think she deserves all her success, and no matter whether you like her or not, I think we should applaud her for being an almost ambassador for all us YouTubers/bloggers. We're all the same, just normal people making videos regardless of how many subscribers we have, and sometimes I think we all need to remember that. But I honestly think it's great how mainstream YouTube is becoming.

Music: Charli XCX: Sucker: I have been excited about this album being released for quite some time as I have really been loving Charli XCX's music lately. She might not be to everyones taste, Henry isn't sure about her at all, but I really like her and I also think she's a bit of a babe. I have to say the album Sucker, hasn't hit me in the face straight away as a 'OMG I love this.' But the more I've listened to it this week, the more it has grown on me. I am quite funny with albums, I either love them or hate them. My favourite tracks so far are; Famous and So Over You.

Ooh also another album I've been listening too this week is Fall Out Boy's latest release; American Beauty/American Psycho. I have to say, I have had a soft spot for FOB ever since I heard 'Sugar We're Going Down' and I used to listen to their first album when I was going through my angst teenage years. Anyways, their new album is really good and could almost be on a par with their first album. Also this shows just how versatile my music taste is. Does anyone else ever think, 'I don't get how I can love all these different genres? It doesn't make sense.' Haha. And see I don't just listen to One Direction. Haha.

YouTuber Of The Week: Steal The Spotlight: Okay so I have been watching a bit of YouTube this week. I have recently found Katie from Steal The Spotlight, whose videos, I can't get enough of. Katie is Australian ( I am obsessed with Australian YouTubers at the moment) and her videos are really creative and edited really well. I've been really enjoying them, and doing that thing of when you find a new YouTuber, of going back and watching all their videos.

Favourite Shop Of The Week: Motel Rocks: I have to admit that recently I have had no desire to shop. This has been very unlike me, and to be honest, I was a step away from taking my temperature to see if I was unwell. However, I stumbled onto the Motel Rocks website this week and well my shopping desire is back. There are so many nice pieces on there at the moment, that I literally want to buy it all. There's some really nice summer pieces that actually make me look forward to summer fashion which in all honesty, I was slightly dreading. I just need to win the lottery or something before summer so I can buy it all :)

So there we go, there's some of my favourites this week. Tell me what have you been loving this week? Have a great weekend, and I'll see you again on Monday :)
