Neutral Eyeshadow of Dreams | Burberry Pale Barley

After singing the praises of Burberry’s Sheer Eyeshadow in Rosewood

here, I found myself googling swatches, watching tutorials and eventually coming to the realisation that I really wanted to try the shade Pale Barley. This was sold out everywhere for the longest time and until recently I forgot about my many online hunts to buy it! I’m glad it’s finally in my life though because the Sheer Eyeshadows are creamy, soft, blendable and apply like a dream.

The shade Pale Barley in particular is kind of a cool taupe, golden brown. It has just enough shimmer to make it interesting, but not enough to put you off from wearing it every.single.day. A quick sweep all over the lids and you can pretty much call it a day. It looks sophisticated and grown up, but you could definitely darken up the crease a bit for a more dramatic evening look. Burberry eyeshadows come packaged in a very weighty metal casing with an intensely powerful magnetic closure. This thing feels expensive (because it is), but when you use it you feel special.

This is definitely something to keep in mind if you want to treat yourself (or perhaps a Valentine’s Day treat?) It seems to be sold out again, but check out the rest of the range here.
