A Summery Haul.

I permit you all to have a good laugh at my ‘Summer’ haul, so what if it’s not even Spring in Scotland – it’s called being prepared, alright? And maybe if I stock up on enough sun essentials, the weather will actually pick up and we’ll experience summer this year. Optimistic, indeed.

I spent all of Wednesday in town searching for a wedding outfit – to no avail, although I do have one now AND Jordan and I match, which is pretty cute – and of course, some beauty shopping happened too. I stocked up on a few hair bits and some Essie shades, because why not.

My obsession with R Co haircare is still very much a thing, I am on to my fourth bottle of the R Co Rockaway Salt Spray (£23), which is almost £100 spent on making my hair all texturised and nice. Yikes. Let’s not think about that. This stuff is the Holy Grail of all salt sprays, I would probably say it’s my favourite, it’s the best buy for adding lots of lovely volume and grit, but with a no-crunch, soft finish. It creates real waves in my hair, and generally gives it a lovely finish.
I also picked up another R Co buy, although I spent so long at the stand that I’m surprised I didn’t leave with the lot. I bought the R Co Dallas Thickening Spray (£26), which is apparently the key to a proper at-home blowdry. It builds body at the roots, plumping the hair and creating super volume in the locks. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll keep you posted. The bottle is enough for me to love it right now…

As for Essie, well I tend to always stock up on Essie polishes when I’m in Boots. There’s always a seasonal collection I want in on! I picked up Essie Pedal Pushers (£7.99), a sleek dark lilac grey – I love this as it’s one of those shades that looks different in every light, sometimes it’s more of a pastel, and others it looks more of a gunmetal grey. I can’t wait to get this on! (Note: apparently this is called Petal Pushers, but mine definitely says Pedal? Who knows).
I also went for Essie Resort Fling (£7.99), these gorgeous corals are my ‘go to’ shades for this time of year, and I know this hue will be the perfect wedding guest shade.

A couple of picks that will be staples this summer – have you tried these? Oh, and sunglasses are from here.
