Trust me, you’ll want to stay here: La Sultana Hotel in Marrakech

After backpacking through Morocco for two weeks, staying in guesthouses riads and sleeping on buses, I got off the 8 hour train into Marrakech and stepped into an oasis of Moroccan luxury. Yes, there were parts of the La Sultana Hotel in Marrakech that decadently scream excess but they just somehow do it so damn tastefully. You may have seen some photos from my stay here on my instagram – but I absolutely had to share the experience with you in full.

Upon arrival, we were met with Moroccan rugs lining the walkway towards the entrance of the hotel. The hallways are lit with some of the most beautiful lamps I had ever seen.

Look up, and you will find it extremely difficult to look back down. I have the bruises to prove it, walking around this place staring at the ceilings and running into things.

There were so many huge lounge areas to relax, each furnished differently, showcasing hand-carved chairs, hand-placed tiles by local artisans, and more stunning pieces artwork than I could count.

But the best way to relax is to sit poolside while having breakfast.

Fresh-baked pastries, fresh-squeezed juices, charcuterie and fresh fruit yogurt, all nestled on beautiful table settings and embroidered napkins.

The absolute best part of the entire experience, however, was this.

Say hello to the “Peacock Room” – painted a vibrant turquoise hue with delightful gold accents and home to a massive chandelier on an intricately-carved ceiling. Each room in the La Sultana Hotel is fully themed, and the tiny decor touches make your experience that much more unique than anyone else’s.

Oh, and this was, hands down, the most beautiful bathroom I have ever had the pleasure of showering/bathing/brushing my teeth/doing other things in, in my entire little life.

Find more info on La Sultana Hotels here. Make sure you stop by if you’re in Marrakech, to sleep or just have a coffee poolside!

Thank you so much for reading!

With love,
Jinna
