This Summer You Need: CHANEL CC Cream

Aiming to do five pretty bold claims: correct, smooth, moisturise, protect, perfect. Let’s start with correct as this base isn’t anywhere close to a foundation, it’s a light coverage that smooths (second point on the checklist – tick!) over the skin and leaves a slight colour. Super natural and with a lightweight feeling but I did find it works best when worked into the skin with fingers as the cream adhered better onto the skin. In terms of moisturising qualities I would say this is pretty much perfect, it doesn’t settle into lines, doesn’t highlight dry skin but plumps up dry skin and leaves a youthful glow. My favourite part about it is the protection, it’s SPF 50 which is perfect for hot summer days. I’m not one that likes to go out with completely bare skin, even at the beach I’ll usually pop on a bit of concealer over my SPF but this does it all so there’s no need for multiple products. You’ve just got your now slap on moisturiser, SPF protection and hint of coverage so the face doesn’t feel naked. I’ve never found an SPF base that I adore just as much as this one! The only bad news – there are only four shades in the range. I’m the shade B30 which is the second darkest. Click
