Joy Clair December 2016/January 2017 Challenge

Hello everyone… It is time to Joy Clair Monthly Challenge! This time the challenge will runs from December through January. So, you have plenty to time to create and play along!

To play along is simple. You are required to create a new card, Bible journal page, or any type of projects based on the photo and/or color combo in the picture below:

Once you post your project on your blog or an online gallery, link up your specific post at Joy Clair Dec/Jan Challenge Blog Post, no back-linking please! And you can link up as many time as you want as long as it follows the rules, so plenty of chances to win the prize! Here’s my inspiration card for the December/January Challenge:

I am using the new Coffee Love stamp set from Joy Clair. I stamped the coffee mug on a A2 size Canson Watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx Black. Then I colored it with ADORNit Watercolor Pencils and watercolor brush. Then I picked up some pigment directly from the dark brown watercolor pencils with wet watercolor brush and added some splatters on panel. Once it dried, I run it through my die cutting machine and cut it with ODBD Custom Die – Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. And I added the pannel on a A2 kraft card base with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue for the frame and 3D foam tape for the panel.

For the sentiment, I created a marble look paper with some Tombow Dual Brush markers and water on a piece of Canson watercolor paper. I dried each layer to create the marble look. Then I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and die-cut it with one of the new ODBD Custom Dies – Pennant Flags Dies. And I added it on the card with 3D foam tape.

I finished my card with some clear gems to give it extra bling I hope you all will play along with Joy Clair Monthly Challenge this December 2016 and January 2017!
