The Bouncer

Perched atop his Village throne,
The gremlin sits: he sits alone.
Many a heart he’s filled with shame,
The guardian keeper of the Jane.
“Try to enter if you dare,”
He breathes beneath his lemon hair.
I urge you all to never test this,
But if you must—be on the guest list.
