{ last minute wrapping ideas }

december 22, 2013

if you’re like me, you may have just finished up your holiday shopping over the weekend and that means you probably still have to wrap those gifts! well we’ve got you covered with some fun options.

i firmly believe that gold, and glitter for that matter, should play a major role in holiday gifting. it’s just so darn festive. and this year, i started thinking outside the box when it came to wrapping presentation. think natural elements and fabric. yes, fabric. i try to hit up the discount fabric store near me every couple of weeks and have found some incredible deals for client weddings events. i walk in for one thing and leave with ten, having been inspired by the textures colors all around. so this year, i’m skipping using only traditional wrapping paper in favor of experimenting with fabrics as well! really this was all about mixing matching, and can be easily recreated with any variety of materials.

i found that for heavier fabrics like velvet leather, small safety pins or sticky squares work best to secure once wrapped. you can even use a small drop of tacky glue. for a thin cotton like the buffalo plaid, double-sided tape worked just fine!
