Be the Butterfly Effect is a project I really care about. Not only because the creator, Monica Rivella is a lovely and talented woman I know, but because her tees are the proof that fashion can have a purpose and change things, for reals. According to the Butterfly Effect, the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil sets off a tornado in Texas. This means that a small change, inside of a complex system, can lead to unexpected outcomes somewhere else, bringing a change into someone’s life. Buying a “Be The Butterfly Effect” t-shirt you can really make the different. A percentage of the proceeds from each T-shirt is donated to the Karma for Cara Foundation, which has been supporting leukemia patients for years, and another part to “Frozen”, a project that helps a young girl living near Como, Italy, fight cancer. It’s a beautiful feeling when you are making the difference, buying a high quality product. Wearing it makes me think that I could be that change, I could be that flap of wings, the effort that closes the circle of a beautiful project. #BeTheEffect
Be the Butterfly Effect è un progetto che mi sta a cuore. Non solo perchè Monica Rivella è una ragazza che conosco, piena di talento e passione, ma perchè le sue magliette sono la prova che la moda può avere uno scopo e cambiare le cose, farlo davvero. Secondo l’Effetto Farfalla, il battito d’ali di una farfalla in Brasile può generare un tornado in Texas. In poche parole, un piccolo cambiamento, all’interno di un sistema complesso, può produrre effetti inattesi altrove, portare un cambiamento nella vita di qualcuno. Acquistando una maglietta “Be the Butterfly Effect” si può davvero fare la differenza. Parte del ricavato infatti viene devoluto alla fondazione americana Karma for Cara, che da tempo sostiene i malati di leucemia, un’altra parta sarà devoluta al progetto “Frozen”, che sostiene una bambina della provincia di Como nella sua lotta contro il cancro. E’ bello fare la differenza, e con poco, quando si acquista un prodotto di valore. Indossarla mi fa pensare che forse potrei essere io, quel battito d’ali, quel piccolo cambiamento che potrebbe chiudere il cerchio. #BeTheEffect
