Bella Ritchey

My signature style

Hey guys! This will be my very last OMD2 manicure! I’m so proud of what I’ve had accomplished this last month and I want to send a huge thank you to the girls responsible of this incredibly fun and rewarding challenge. Jemma, Jacqui, Lindsay and Brijit, I have enjoyed and pushed myself to create nail art that I never would have thought about earlier, it has been an inspiring month and it’s with a tiny bit of sadness in my heart I’m showing you my last manicure: Day 31 My Signature Style.

This was not an easy theme to work with. First I had no clue what really characterize my sort of nail art. But if anyone would ever recognize me for anything it would probably be my tropical palm tree nails. Palm trees are – hands down – the nail art I enjoy the most, and the sort of nail art I create and re-create most often. I do palms in the summer, winter, fall, spring, with different backgrounds and in different colors and it’s so fun and easy. It’s not a unique sort of nail art – I mean, everyone seem to do palm trees from time to time. But palm tree nail art has a very special place in my heart. The first nail art ever I did was dots. Dotted flowers. Then I started to do palm trees! The first ones was horribly ugly but I swore to myself that I will one day master the technique to create beautiful palms. And believe me when I say that there are not many things that are as satisfying as pulling out the leavers if a palm tree with a nail art brush. I enjoy it so much!

The background color for this nail art is China Glaze – Be More Pacific. A lovely light green fro the Off Shore 2014 collection. Nice creme formula, a bit runny, and it’s easier to work with thin coats. This is three thin coats, no top coat.

I’m already looking forward to July 2015! No pressure girls, but you’ll give us an OMD3 next year or else..!! ;)
