Finished

Well, it's done! I finished my APQ Quilt along quilt (also known as the Tone-it-down quilt, even though mine is probably the furthest thing from toned down!) and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Honest to goodness, one of my very favorite quilts I've ever made. That Lissa sure knows what she's doing.

So here are probably a few too many photos of it, since I couldn't choose just one. The fabrics are scrappy from a bunch of our lines for Moda, and the white background is the white on white dot from Happy-go-lucky.

The backing is the aqua dot from Bliss and the binding is the navy and white bias stripe from April Showers, which is my go-to binding right now. This is probably the fifth or sixth quilt I've bound with it in the last couple of months, and I just ordered another bolt, so you'll be seeing more of it. April Showers will be shipping in just a few weeks. Yay!!

I can't show all of these photos without a big thank you to Abby, who quilted it in this perfect orange peel. I know I've told you this before, but she is pretty fantastic. Thank you Abby!

Now, at the risk of sounding a little sappy, I am so grateful to have been included in this quilt along with such amazing ladies. It was so much fun!

As for this quilt, I'm not sure where it is going to go, but it is pretty happy on my couch for now. It will probably find a home on my favorite new quilt ladder.

My friend Sara made it for me for Christmas and I LOVE it. I want one for every room in my house. I'm not joking!

And last but not least, this boy turned ten. Yes, TEN! I can't believe it either.

It's true what they say. Time flies when you're having fun.
