Finding Ladybugs

have you ever read, or seen under the tuscan sun?

there's a certain allure to biographical films that show the paths of people who took a leap of faith and altered their lives entirely from what they were before. the particular story mentioned above seems to have a special effect. it might be italy, it might be that the heroine is a woman, or simply the sense of adventure in a dreamy place. regardless, there is one scene in particular that is so inspirational it is worth sharing with you all.

the heroine addresses a rather quirky woman she has befriended, expressing her growing angst of not being able to attract romance and love into her new life to which said quirky friend replies with a parable from her own life:

"when i was a little girl, i used to spend hours looking for ladybugs. finally, i just gave up and fell asleep on the grass. when i woke up, they were crawling all over me."

sometimes that is really all you need to do in life. sometimes, the best thing is to let go and just have faith that since you really desire something it will eventually cross your path, and then...well, then just hope that you will have the wisdom to notice it and the courage to accept it. have you noticed how there are times when you've wanted something so much, when the chance finally appeared, it was terrifying?

in reality however, let's be honest, this is not the easiest thing to do. regardless, it really feels like magic when once in a while you let life take its course, and you go with its flow entirely and wholeheartedly.

i realize this is somewhat random, and disconnected to the usual posts, but there was this need to share it. fiy the scene is also
here.

xoxo
